Pixel art can get tough when you work on a single simple object and still try using a small scale. You should have filled in the empty space in this picture and perhaps even sized down the canvas.

I agree.
Thank you for the tip. :)

This Sucks!!!

Great job man
I love that odd lighting, reminds me of twilight princess/dark souls.
Keep on pumping out these rad arts.

Rhunyc responds:

Thanks yo! I'm gonna try. :3

This is great, but...

I think your style needs some refining. Nothing entirely new just some cleaning up and stuff. I know you struggle with digital art just as much i do, its awkward on for some folk. One thing is the lines, they are a bit choppy and tasteless, i think you can add a little more and a little less here and there. Then the coloring, which i know is the digital majority of the image. It lacks atmosphere, nothing is really drawing all the air of the image to make it feel like its breathing. And lastly, detail is missing in some places it should be. Like the bottom of the support beams for the tracks and minor details in places like the bark of the wood that could have gave it some depth. All in all i like the picture though, i just feel it was a bit rushed even though you chopped away at it for so long which may be the entire issue. But i know your experimenting and that takes some steps like these.

Luxembourg responds:

Yeah, I agree with everything you said. All in all, this piece kind of blows and I really just wanted to be done with it after a certain point. My computer was suffering from lots of power problems and I lost a lot of progress at various points with the painting and I had to keep repainting certain parts and eventually it just made me miserable. I should have spent more time on it, but I just needed to finish it.
Thanks for the feedback, Tre. I'm having a really hard time lately figuring out what to do with my work, stylistically and atmospherically and it's really hurting my art. I'm sorry for taking so long to respond.

pretty awesome

Esao Andrews is a fucking master.
This is pretty good the shape and color is nice but i think you should invest into a better method of getting your drawings to us, like a scanner, better camera etc.
That way you can also boost colors and clean up the surrounding space on paper.
Also, Blue Sky Noise is a perfect album, i can get from the first track to the last without even knowing any time went by at all.

I need a scanner but I don't have that kind of money, sadly..

okay

i can embrace your stuff having warmer colors.....

Hey man, I ain't judging. If she were, well, real, I'd probably try to tap that ass myself.

love bioshock

i even have Jack's tattoos.

while i excuse this because its a speedpaint, i really wish there was more definition because this is awesome Bioshcok art.
And i love how you improvised and said fuck it he can have a shield. Pretty sure that big daddy will find his way through it though....

AssKiller responds:

haha yeah no doubt about it. Shields are useless against bid daddies. I'll detail it more for sure. It started out as a speedpaint but i want it to be more defined as well.

Critters and places made of squares.
